This is Waldo, his Mum was Miranda, and she was born blind in one eye and with mental issues so she was also hand-raised. So when Waldo was born his mum never saw him as her baby and instantly rejected him. He was the only one of boys that we have hand-raised that loved us. Most boys get super aggressive and need to be just put down the back paddock with the other boys and left alone. He lived in the back yard most of his life as he was picked on by others so imagine a 400kg teddy bear with huge antlers just always wanting pats and giving kisses, So lovely. At one stage we thought he had died as Dad found a deer one morning that had been stabbed by another boy in the paddock behind the house and Waldo was no where to be seen. Luckily about 3 weeks later he just turned up. 5 months ago Waldo just couldn’t walk right, his back legs were giving way he only lasted about another month and then one night he just passed away. Waldo passed away at 16 and being loved! You never forget the things you love, no matter what they are or whom.
"Okay, here it is, your choice… it’s simple, her or me, and I’m sure she is really great. But Derek, I love you, in a really, really big pretend to like your taste in music, let you eat the last piece of cheesecake, hold a radio over my head outside your window, unfortunate way that makes me hate you, love you. So pick me, choose me, love me."
